Vienna offers a whole list of low-threshold culture and live events. Starting with the Wien Museum at free entry, there are the Donauinselfest, Popfest, Musik am Fluss, ((szene)) Soundgarden, Arena Beisl Bierwoche and the Kultursommer. The first Hip Hop shows with EsRap and Nee-Sha have passed. This Friday, the soccer club 1210 hosts the next one.
The field is right next to the station Hanreitergasse at Jedlersdorfer Platz 25 in 21st district. At the kiosk, cheap drinks, food and merchandise are available, while Stangl & Hautzinger perform their temporary improvised music. There is a separate smoking area with view to the stage, while kids can dance or sit in the front on seats or the ground.
Since their 10th anniversary, Von Seiten der Gemeinde conquered the Bogenfest Innsbruck and put out „Pfau 2“ with Da Kessl featuring Mo Cess plus their fourth album „Burn Down Pavillon“ via Duzz Down San. This brought them an interview on radio Ö1 and to play the title track on this summer evening: ‚We never would’ve dreamed that one day we’d play on the same field as Arnautović ‘.
Between more new tracks, they explain what happens: the trio Yo!Zepp, Chrisfader and Testa works with samples. They have built a whole archive with video and audio snippets. The ÖVP they tag an ‚underground movement in Vienna‘, talking „Wia an Normaler“.
They also salute president Van der Bellen, who was raised in their region in Tyrol, while dropping more highlights like „Gemeindetraktor“, the fm4 heavy rotation hit „Na“ or „Wolffreie Zone“ from „Almen aus Plastik“. Their next visit in town will be with Dicht & Ergreifend at Gasometer on 7th November.
After this marvelous show on the football pitch, the aftershow is at the kiosk with tunes by Grossstadtgeflüster and G-Unit and later at Unders. And the Kultursommer keeps going with names like Texta, Timay, Catastrophe & Cure, Euroteuro, Hearts Hearts, HuröLia., A.geh Wirklich?, Julia Bassenger, Bad Ida, Damion Lee, Der Kuseng and many more.
