Big Local Rock
High Transition, Monsters Of The Ordinary, Lush City Ferals
Roadtrip To Outta Space, Arena Wien – Dreiraum, Austria 20240202
An American muscle car like the Blade mobile is the main subject of the poster, that announces a driving Rock evening at Arena. The desert of Mars is the underground, while Jupiter an Earth can be seen in the distance. The ufos flying around make the final connection to Roadtrip To Outta Space.
It is an evening for local bands. At the Beisl, The End Of Radio and Jangoony bring the noise. Meanwhile, the RTOS starts at Dreiraum with Lush City Ferals. Their sound is made for stadiums, like the single „Widowmaker“, the serve as second song already.
They can also bring in darker Black Parade vibes, be danceable like in „Point Blank“, ‚and now for something completely different‘: „Cats & Dogs“. The basic direction stays the same, only the overall impression gets rougher as the banner reads ‚MOTO‘ – Monsters Of The Ordinary.
In summer, they have been here before during the Bierwoche. Tonight they score with songs like „Stampede“, „Headroom“ and „Chasing Ghosts“. As encore, they mix „No One Knows“ with „My Sharona“ and „Beezleboss“. And so the audience is ready for the final act High Transition.
Traveling from Salzburg, they shared the stage with Ultima Radio, Glue Crew and Stöner and likes of Ozymandias, Lausch and Cadû at Tauerngold Festival. They have their new single „Space Deville“ promoted via Rola Music with them as well as one ‚for all Réne Benkos‘ out there.
Especially the formidable voice stays in mind. And so one of the first Roadtrips of the year comes to an end and draws to a cosy close at Café Habakuk where Ivery will perform soon. And the next names in the series waiting behind the corner are Green Lung and Spell, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
